Did you know germs can live on surfaces up to 48 hours? Disinfectants and sanitizers are not made to clean and remove dirt and germs, they are designed to kill viruses and bacteria such as Staph, E. Coli, Salmonella, and Strep. Surfaces should always be cleaned to remove dirt and grime before disinfecting.
What disinfectant should I buy? It depends on what you need to disinfect. Disinfectants are formulated to work on specific types of bacteria, viruses, and fungi (mold and mildew). The disinfectants we sell list what they are formulated for and on what surfaces they can be used.
Remember: All disinfectants are required to remain on the surface between 5-10 minutes to kill the germs they are formulated for. Sanitizers must remain on the surface for at least 30 seconds to be effective.
